Bluetooth & Verizon Wireless

When the heck is Verizon going to come out w/a new bluetooth phone? I don't want to get the Motorola 710 (too big especially for a flip phone). I'd love to get the RAZR or something similar. Anyone have any info on this?

God only knows when Verizon will release another BT phone, they are simply the slowest at releasing new phones.

Who ever said verizon is getting the razr? You are truly mistaken - the RAZR uses GSM technology (sim card) and verizon uses CDMA technology

What ashame that they only offer one phone. Consumer's Reports just did a write up on Cell Phones (service providers and phones). Verizon is #1 in every market, but they only offer one BT phone. That sucks! I want to keep Verizon, but I also don't want the 710.

My contract expires in Aug. Hopefully, I'll have more choices by then.

All I want for 2005 is for the Treo 650. Then I'll be satisfied with Verizon's phone offerings.

I just don't like the looks of the 710. Don't use my cell *that* often in the car so I am patiently waiting for more choices. I like Verizon otherwise.....

That Consumer Reports article is from last February (11 months ago), the issue with the write-up on the 2004 TL.
The February issue is their annual cell phones and plans review issue, we'll see what they say this year.

The Mortorolla 710 is awesome. The phone fits the car its classy looking and looks like it cost quite a bit. It stands out from the rest it looks different. It has a business touch to it which I like maybe not your taste. The phone has style even though its big. Its a tough phone that won't break on you if you drop it

I personally hated the V710 - I tried it for 10 days under verizons worry free guarantee... it was too big for my taste... the BT deos not work properly with the HFL in the TL... it kind of works, but not fully - aside from the signal and battery not working - call waiting did not work and sometimes didnt connect with the car

I am talking about the February 2005 issue. I subscribe to CR and it came in already. I never understood why mags pre-date their mags like that. I mean, I got this February issue of CR in December.

I just got the February CR with the annual Cell Phone Review. Similar to last years, but it was obviously written prior to the Cingular/AT&T merger.
