T-mobile V600

I have recently been getting dropped calls due to the HFL not receiving calls from my phone.

I have a T-mobile branded V600.
I have S/W version TRIPLETS_G_OB.09.3AR_A
and Flex version GS9V600TMB02NA157
I am on the T-mobile network.

My question is, has anyone flashed to the newer 9.4AR firmware with the T-mobile V600? Has this improved the HFL?

Thanks,

I'm thinking of taking it down to chinatown for a flashing.

If you take your phone to chinatown to flash it, it will void your warranty and T-Mobile can and probably will void it. If you don't care about your warranty, by all means have at it. You can add all sorts of stuff to your V600 plus get rid of bugs....its a trade off

I really don't care about the warranty...

I just want the damn phone to work better with my HFL. Its the reason I got it.

So do you know of any good places in chinatown that does this sort of stuff?

Not in particular. To my knowledge, all the stores are just in a row and its a hit and miss thing. If you don't care about warranty, you can buy the cable on eBay and the software is available everywhere. You can also enable the 850mhz band.

I have just tried to flash my phone with some new software but the PST software keeps crashing on my machine. I have used the patch files for the software but it keeps crashing when I hit the start button.

Can you help me flash my phone?

What exactly do you mean by flashing the phone to get more features? Does the firmware control the quality of the transmitter? My biggest gripe with cellphones is cutting in and out, and poor quality reception. I'm not too concerned with anything other than talking on the phone, so MP-3 ringtones, camera's, etc., just don't do much for me. Also, what does adding another band do? If it's the same network (GSM) what does a different band do for you? ps: sorry for the noob questions, but I just use my cellphone...I don't program it.

firmware can change the way the phone behaves. Your reception has some to do with your provider in your area as well. GSM technology is not as well covered in PA cause of all the hills and such. That is why CDMA is preferred over GSM in your state.

I work for T-Mobile. Flashing it will not void your warranty. Also, why don't you just call in and do a warranty exchange. Whatever replacement phone they send you will have the newest flash version of software.

Woo, we have a T-Mobile rep on our board. Hooray.

In any case, I would put down a good chunk of change, plus my car and any other belongings I have that say if you flash it and mess up your phone, call customer care, tell them what you did that they will deny you of your warranty. That is called tampering with company property: not the phone itself but the firmware. The replacement guarantees to have T-Mobile firmware. They would never throw 4AR on there just cause you're having a bad day with your phone. You are the least of their concerns. YOu cancel your service, you're just a number. So like HuKaShI said, he doesn't care about warranty so he can flash it, no biggy. BTW, Mr/Mrs T-Mobile...I wouldn't come out publicly saying you work for T-Mobile cause now whatever you say can and probably will reflect upon you in one way or another cause now you're representing your company. have fun.
