Stock System
In a word, yes haha
I've had my TL for just over a month. The sound processing is decent but in spite of having a "surround sound" arrangement it doesn't seem like the spacializing is that great. The system is at it's best at low to medium volume. Seems to top out at a certain point, which isn't that high. Beyond that all you increase is distortion. My particular speakers might be weathered, but the rest of the car doesn't indicate it's had hard life under the beating sun. The speakers seem low quality. Not particularly impressed.
I had the factory "Rockford Fosgate" system in my Nissan Frontier and that thing would slam, crystal clear. Supposedly it was made up of Boston Acoustic hardware too, I think Fosgate just ran the sound processing.

In my 2007 TL with navi system is ok, but upgrade will be done soon.
I don't like the processing on the TL its pissing me off. I turned that dolby crap off right away.
IB sub that is in the back is lacking at higher volume, the sound blends well at some stages but than it brakes down.
I know OEM radio gives a very clean signal to the amp. I just think the speakers cant handle it. Either way, if someone has bought the car and is not a big hifi audio person, than this is perfect for them.

Quality of sound playing a DVD-Audio disc is awesome.
With the windows closed on my 07 TL Type-S the
Stereo is loud enough- would like a little more.
With the windows open (IMO) The system needs more power.
I am highly considering adding a 4-ch amp for the 4 main
Speakers and leaving the center channel alone.
I also have an added amp & a 12" subwoofer.
If you want a 4-ch amp get one with Hi-Level inputs.
Same if you want a mono sub amp.
OOPS
Congrats on the Future purchase
The High HZ is weak ( bad hearing )
