Stock AMP wires?!??! HELP!!

I am trying to install my amp and sub in my trunk. I am going to splice into the lead going to the stock amp and also take the pre-amp level for the sub and run to the trunk as well. My problem is that there are so many damn wires running in and out of the stock amp I have NO CLUE which is which. I think I read that the amp lead is red with a yellow stripe. But I dont know about the pre-amp sub line. Also, I obviously want to get into the lines BEFORE they reach the stock amp......which one of the clips on the amp is the in and which is the out???? pics would help!!! thanks!

OK there is a small clip going into the amp and a big clip......which is input and which is output...I have located the red wire w/ yrllow stripe on BOTH. Which is the wire pre-amp level wire for the sub???

running it before the stock amp wont work, youll need the signal from the output of the amp. when i did it before the input, the signal was really weak and you couldnt even realize the sub was even on.

if you run it after the amp, the sub will work and you can control it thru the navi or the controls inside the car if u dont have navi

Did any of you guys purchase a Line Driver to help increase the signal from our OEM deck. I heard our TL deck gives off a weak signal which will work your after mkt amp much harder and will lose some power at the same time. To prevent this, you would need a Line Driver which gives a big boost in signal. I guess another thing we need is a Low output converter that converts the speaker signal to RCA out correct???

ok.....thanks guys......works perfectly. I did not use a line driver and I am pleased with the result without it. I used the pre-amp level and that works fine as well. I dont know if I lost power because of it. I cant tell because it sounds damn good so I am happy with it.

HOwever, their could be a possibility it could be better with a Line Driver to increase the signal. But its all good if your happy with it. So anyone else using a Line Driver. I am contemplating whether to buy one or not. But a few stores has highly recommend it tho.
