Steering wheel button question

Guys, When I am in the XM mode, is there anyway I can change the setting so that when I press the CH+ or CH- button, it would change the channel number instead of going up and down on my XM presets.

This is a pretty common topic as I did a search for the same thing when I first came here. The answer is no, unfortunately.

no fast fwd on steering column

I cant believe that on the non-navi 05TL's, the + and - button on the steering column doesn't fast forward your song but skips it to the next song. It does it on the Navi one my buddy tells me. May be there is a way to set it, anyone know?

It doesn't! The ONLY way to FF a playing CD/DVD is to use the buttons on the head unit!

Does pressing and holding + or - on the steering wheel forward or reverse in the track?

What button on the head unit does FF of a CD? I've been searching for this. There is no info in the manual.

Found this by searching..

Is this still how the steering wheel buttons work? I find it Very annoying. I have a 07 TL Type-S with a DICE for my Ipod, and would like to change the song with the button on the steering wheel.

It would be nice if it could change tracks just like it does when playing a CD. Why would Acura keep it that way?

I have an 07 TL-S...when listening to XM, I press the CH- or CH+ to move up and down my presets. If I press and hold the CH- or CH+ then the radio goes up or down one channel at a time. A trick I learned from another AZ member.

No problem, I've benefitted so much from reading through others' posts here at AZ...it's nice to be able to contribute.

"Press and hold" can lead to interesting finds throughout the car!
