Speaker Volume

Does anyone notice that the lowest volume setting (Volume = 01) is still pretty loud? Sometimes when I'm just parked I have my radio on, but I find it still quite loud. Does anyone else have this problem, is there are way to fine tune or make it lower?

You're probably right, I wouldn't need to spend money on any system because I've never had to turn the volume to max.

When the engine is off and when there's peace and quiet I find the lowest setting still loud. I guess I do have sensitive ears?

Although it doesn't say much about being able to further adjust the volume, the online owner's manual is very useful. Thanks!

I found the same thing when listening to XM. Sometimes, even a volume of 01 is louder than I want. It's usually in the same situation when I'm sitting in the car at a standstill. Most of the time, though, I'm listening between 05 and 25.

If find it too loud sometimes, but I can solve this by turning down the settings and fading the volume to the rears.

Oooh, I thought of turning down the settings but not fading the volume to the rear of the car. Good idea.

I can barely hear stock at 15. I usually keep mine at 25. On my MDX, I could barely stand it at 10.

Hmmm, I bought my car used. Maybe the previous owner replaced the audio system. I have yet to turn my volume past 10. It's already pretty loud around 8.

I've also reached for the volume to turn it down when it was at 1 and there was little ambient noise- usually when it's the news on the radio. My volume is usually below 10, but I've used it at 25 with the windows/sunroof open while driving at speed with certain types of rock music.

It depends on your taste in music, too-- ZZ Top and dance music sound best to me between 10 and 25. I can't stand rap or hip hop and don't listen to classical music, while jazz is good at any volume.

At least we won't have to pay for speaker and amp upgrades!
