I started out with the 63.7s in the front. Eventually I taped over the tweeter because it was too much for me at high volumes even with the treble turned all the way down.

Now I have only the 6.5" running, the other two are unplugged so I would've been better off with only the one-ways. I don't like metallic tweeters but some do. I installed the 1021 tweeters (textile dome) in the dash and they sound so much better than the kappa tweeters did. I can really crank the volume without killing my ears.

IMO, two and 3-ways aren't necessary with decent dash tweeters.

Hmm I just noticed Infinity has a new line. Interesting, I wonder if it is more than just new looks? I see 2 new advantages; the high end goes to 30khz instead of 25khz and the tweeter 3db+ switch is now exposed and not under the grille. I'd say go with the 63.9I.

I run Ref 6022i all around / 1021 tweeters / 3022 center & a basslink. +/- 400.00 for all of it.

Where can I get some specs on the Beymas? I searched for them after reading your post but can't find that particular model. I've been looking for an upgrade for the doors and putting the Infinities in the rear. I'm after SQ and much better midbass than the Infinities are capable of. They sound great on stuff that doesn't go too low but terribly lacking in a lot of music.

i've been wanting to focus on upgrading the speakers for a more full sound,

except after a little bit of reading and searching it looks like the 1011t tweeters are discontinued, as well as the 32.7cf for the center console. also there are way too many posts on door and rear deck speaker replacements, and it ended up just confusing me..

could someone point me in the right direction? It seems my rear deck speakers keep getting blown out, but i usually play my music at most to 30, so I'm looking for a better alternative. Everything in the car is stock minus a basslink.

ok i tried to delete my above post but i guess i tried too late or something. So i didnt realize that crutchfield could sort speakers by make. (https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/els-stock-speaker-specs-size-imped-depth-556521/ also helped)

anyway, I know nothing about car audio so I assume your inputs will be more helpful;

2x Blaupunkt GTx652 6-1/2" 2-way car speakers for the rear
Kicker KS350 3-1/2" 2-way car speakers for the center console
Pioneer TS-T110 7/8" poly dome Tweeters

all that comes out to $160 on Crutchfield; will it be better than the stock? and will swapping to 4ohm speakers stop my rear from blowing out? (i'm not sure if they are blowing out, or what, but every few months it seems the rear speaker "breaks"? and something becomes dislodged and when that happens anything over 8 on master volume makes it rattle and the dealer always ended up just replacing the speaker)

try onlinecarstereo.com I'm using Infinity 1021 Tweeters, a 3022 center, 2 pairs of Reference 6022i and a Basslink.

For the rear, almost anything will work, in the doors you will need to consious of the depth. G/L

Just about anything? The forums says the install depth is 2 1/8" for the back speakers, while the 63.9i says they're 2 5/16" deep and the 62.9i is the same. According to the specs, the speakers are too deep for the car, but has anyone installed them??
