Side mirrors with blinkers

I have been searching the posts and can not seem to find this topic anywhere. I have a 2004 acura TL and want to put the side mirrors off of a 2007 or 2008. I like how the 07-08 have the blinkers on them. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about this replacement, and how to wire it. Also, if this was done would the heated mirrors still work?

Thanks

its been done before.
IIRC, the drivers side wires up perfectly. the passenger side you have to extend some wires.

awesome, do you know how to make the blinkers work then? b/c i'm assuming the wires for the 2004 don't have the blinker power supply going to them?

the drivers side is pre-wired to work.

I think the drivers side is pre-wired only on 06 TL. 04-05 don't have that option. I tried installing these on a TL that's 05 and drivers side doesn't blink. And by those DIYs we couldn't figure out which wires to tap into on the passenger side. Maybe the wiring is different for 04-05 or maybe it's different because it's a Canadian car. The guy that has these is a member on here but doesn't visit too much so if anyone got this info on 04-05 TLs that they have done this too, let me know so I can pass the information to him

Look up a thread for modding your sidemarkers to blink...there's a relay that can be soldered to work. I did it last month...20 bucks and now my side markers light up with parking light AND blink to signal.

I think there is an easier way to do this when installing mirrors. I don't remember anyone soldering anything in DIYs. Just tapping into the rear signal wires I believe

It can be done on a 2004, i have the 07-08 side mirrors on my 04 TL. The heated mirror still work on it also. I want to say you just have to look for the turn signal wire that runs along the car. I cant tell you for sure because i had a shop do mine when I had other things getting done to my car, But its possible. I they blink along with the front and back signal when engaged.

I think what I was referencing is to keep the mirrors lit up when parking lights are on AND blink when blinking. I'm sure you're right if you just want it to blink with the signal.

Either way, not rocket science...my guess...black to black on front or rear sidemarker and your red to the middle wire (blinker) on front or the only other wire on the back. a little solder or butt connectors and some wire and you're in business.
