Thumbs up SE w600i - So far it works Great!

I just picked up the Sony Ericsson w600i yesterday. What a cool phone! mp3 player w/ fm, bluetooth, camera w/ video, and most importantly, you can set the camera light to blink SOS in morse code (alright there was a bit of sarcasm there, but I guess it'll come in handy when I survive the plane crash on the deserted island)

Anyway, it paired just fine with my '04, sound quality over the bluetooth is just as good as my t637, reception is amazing! I haven't found a downside to this phone yet. Which is interesting after seeing the S610 was having probs with the '04.

Anyone else out there pick this one up yet?

We picked this phone up as one of my Father's gifts for Christams. I must say it is an amazing phone and your are right, this phone has amazing signal. This is indeed the perfect phone with FM radio, MP3, and bluetooth. If I remember correctly it can also open Excel spreadsheets and such

I bought the w600i a couple of weeks ago and I love it as well. The only thing I don't like about it is when I put it in my pocket sometimes the key lock unlocks itself and it manages to get to the walkman screen or the internet screen. So who knows how long it's been sucking up my minutes for internet usage! Other than that, the phone is awesome. The FM radio feature is probably my favorite feature. The speakerphone is very clear. Bluetooth via the TL is very clear as well. People comment on how clear it is when I'm in the TL.

Sony Ericsson did some extensive research on this phone because every time I met up with my Sony Ericsson contact, his W600 would have a new firmware version and finally when Cingular released the phone, it was solid in performance and reception. A+ to SE for starting to make great phones for N.America. Now I can't wait for Feb CeBit to roll around (in Germany)...they're announcing 4 more phones.

How does it compare with your T637 reception wise?

I always had good luck with my T637 but this one is even stronger. Clarity is also fantastic. I just wish it were a bit thinner!

Yeah, I wish I could've waited, my T637 was with AT&T and I needed to upgrade my wife's plan and needed to migrate to Cingular phones. No remorse with the w600i, just wish I could've seen the new phones before making a choice.
