Mine is paired just fine with my 04 (with newer HFL, though). The only issues I have are...
1. No battery level or signal strength meters.
2. Loud, static-like "Pop" when I initiate a call from the HFL phonebook. I have to remember to drop the volume after I give it the go command as I'm afraid I'll blow a tweeter.

Tried it with my 06 TL...
What problems are you haveing. I got it connected without a problem.
Once you enable the bluetooth and make the phone discoverable, select menu on the right side a select the first option.
You will be forwared to a new screen where select "Add device"
this will start the search and find the Acure HFL.
Select the HFL and enter the password when prompted. DONE !!!
I am not able to see anything about the phone on my MFD...
Let me know how that worked for you.
