Rear speaker blown - dealer appointment tomorrow

Since yesterday my rear passenger speaker sounds like an empty tin can crunching even on low to medium volume, took my car to the dealer today and fixed an appointment for tomorrow morning to investigate.

The sales rep acknowledged the problem but is reluctant to give a loner saying "Its not a big problem" lol well its not abt how big the problem is but you got to keep the car to diagnose and get it fixed... anyways more update later...

If you're < 50k, you'll get it replaced for free.

Yes, it is not even 18k.

I was just surprised how reluctant was the tech writer to offer a loner. Good that I just got the car over there to show what the problem is and not discuss it over the phone.

They'll provide a loaner. Maker sure they have one for you before you take your car in for service.

sales person or service told you?? sales is not connected with you anymore- you bought it- done

loaners are at the dealers option and availability
dealer service writers are not the boss!!! just drones (been one~)

loaners go to cars with big paid service, then big warranty, then small warranty
tues wed thurs best days to get one
Minimum age applies same as your states rental car min, 21 or 25 in many places

helps to meet the service writer and manager before you need them- so they know the name and dont screw with you

you can make an appointment as a WAITER- meaning you intend to sit in the lounge and they need to do your simple job first
In the schedule,,big jobs get started first so they get finished on time
a simple blown speaker gets done last

Sorry i meant the service writer. So took my car in today and waited for their verdict after 45 mins they came back confirming 'yes its a blown speaker, the coil of the speaker has gone bad'

They did not have it in stock to replace, so they have ordered one and once its gets there will fix an appointment. They will arrange for a loner since it will take them almost a day to replace a speaker!

Why did they make it so tough just to replace a speaker??

All this while was avoiding the dealer and fixing the door rattles
myself and just few days back I nailed the last rattle and now this

Hope they do a good job in replacing the speaker.
