Question About Hooking Up IPOD

Hi all, I got a 2005 TL a week ago and today I saw an announcement on the Acura page about some Ipod adapter for the 2006 TLs, I was wondering if anyone knows a good way to connect the Ipod to a 2005 other than this adapter (which I'm guessing won't work in the 2005 model)

I heard that in the new year there will be an adapter for the 04/05 model that differs slightly from the 06 model but it will work, let's hope.

I've done it with the Sony tape adapter

It is ok -- acceptable for now. I've tried FM modulator and get too much background whine. The tape adapter gets some hiss and I have to keep adjusting the volume on the iPod and putting the Dolby noise reduction on, etc. But it's ok.

I'm so am anxiously awaiting the iPod adapter.

The FM modulator I used was the Xtreme Airplay -- not so great and at $40 will be returned to Target shortly.

I've had a Jensen tape adapter but it started to lose some of the left channel so I bought a new Sony one for about $20.

I also bought a lighter adapter for the iPod and keep it in the armrest so that I can get a charge if needed. The dock connector is threaded through to keep things kind of clean. I put a tiny piece of velcro near the cubby spaces to keep the iPod mounted where I can see it (with backlight always on); I have the DLO skin which has some velcro on the back.

Again, this is just ok for now. I'm listening to more DVD-As anyway so I can stay entertained. Feels/sounds good to hear the voices of Sarah Mclachlan and Diana Krall in DTS in the car.
