I went to the store today, and saw a nice Alpine screen... T something... anyway, I've been considering my navi options and i figured that if I could replace the screen in my 2004 (non - navi split screen) with this screen... i could just put the other alpine navi system under the seat (DVD-based). Would this work? Would I still be able to see all my controls (discs, temp, etc) on the screen? Could I use some sort of a toggle switch as in the infamous William's 2004 TL (he used it for video, camera and nav)

Why William's 04TL system is "infamous"?

 

Navi was NVE825A and screen was a TME model... maybe if you could tell me based on that which of the TME's would work?
