Converting from non-navi to navi???

Hey...
My car is a non-navi... at the time i didn't want the navi but now i sort of regret it. From what i gather... all that the navi has over the non-navi is the extra antenna and a different head unit (excluding HandsFreeLink controls). You guys think an acura dealer (if not another dealer) would install this head unit? It seems if i got the head unit as a replacement part from acura... then had someone install it as if it was just another aftermarket navi unit.

The display above the head unit is different also. On non-navi car all it displays is the clock but on navi cars it displays the A/C settings as well as the phone icon. Also, I'm not sure that the Navi unit would jut be plug and play. The wireing harness may be different. You;ll also be missing the voice control button on the steering wheel. It just seems like to much trouble to me.

Sorry you are out of luck I believe. I tried to get one with a 2003 TLS since you couldn't get navi in Canada at the time. I even tried to make a deal with Acura. The entire wiring harness is different and it can only be done at the factory level plus all the voice stuff etc. I skipped on the 2003 and waited for the 2004 that had the navi option.

I,m wondering how difficult is the conversion for my TL ?? In Canada, the Navigation system is not available with the 6 speeds...

Fortunately the 6 speeds arrive with the bluetooth, so I could just need both screens (the small and biggest ones) and the antenna stuff. I'm wondering how much it could cost....
