DVD Audio disc problem
DVD Audio disc problem
I just picked up my NBP with Navi on Sunday and love it! I purchased "Mannheim Steamroller meets the Mouse" DVD Audio disc that has the dvd-audio and dts logos and it doesn't play. The player does fine with the demo disc. The Mannheim disc is accepted and shows up as disc 2 and is recognized as a dvd-a along with the track. There is no error message and no sound. Another component of this disc is that it's 2-sided. One side is dvd video and the other side is dvd audio. Yes, I've tried both sides and it does play on a home dvd player. Has anyone encountered a problem like this and/or has any ideas on what to do other than return the disc? Thank you.

Just kidding. Sorry, though, I don't have a solution to that problem. Have you tried another DVD-A disc?
I have yet to buy a DVD-Audio that doesn't work in the TL, and I've got 32 of them (3 are 2-disc sets), and that's not counting the many home-made DVD-A's that I've burned up myself.
I don't have that particular, um, "selection" though.

That's a tough question. I'll go with -
Porcupine Tree - In Absentia
Queen - The Game
Blue Man Group - Audio
A close next bunch are:
Dishwalla - Opaline
Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
The Who - Tommy
Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
Queen - A Night at the Opera
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
Yes - Fragile

"Porcupine Tree - In Absentia" is a great disc. I had never heard of this group, but I heard that the surround on this one was great so I gave it a shot. I am glad I did, it's an EXCELLENT disc, music and sonics, and sounds great in the TL, right from the very first guitar blasts!!!
Your other choices are excellent as well. The only one I do not have is the Blue Man Group.
