Popping noise when using HFL?

Hey everyone
Apologies in advance if theres a thread out there already for this, but I couldn't find one.

I am having this problem of everytime i use my HFL (which is ALOT) of right before it rings, I hear two popping noises (mini versions of speaker popping noises).
Is this normal? I am thinking about taking it to Acura but I don't want them to blow it off as normal.

Thanks

I get the popping noise when I make a call using HFL, but not when I receive calls or during a call.

Is that what you notice as well?

Regards

Yup - exactly
If i remember i turn down the volume really quickly until it starts ringing b/c I'm scared it might actually blow out the speakers..

Is the sound similar to the slight crackle you get when you put the needle in the groove on an LP that hasn't been cleaned recently? If so, I believe it's normal. Mine does it when I dial out. It's probably some sort of static or other interference. Bear in mind that the Bluetooth is a wireless connection.

Ok, as the others have suggested, I get the noise as well on '06. When I first used it, I thought it was a little strange, but it happens every time I make a call, so I'm assuming it's just normal.

Now the "volume" of the popping is pretty consitently the same regardless of the volumne of the music I was playing before, so I wouldn't think you'd be blowing any speakers away...

Regards

Where in the car is the phone? I can get this if the phone is near the radio, such as in the compartments at the bottom of the center stack under the radio. I do not get it with my phone clipped to my belt, in a briefcase in the backseat, etc.

Thumbs up

For me, I definitely hear a difference when the volume is lowered and when it is higher...

I always have the phone either in my pocket or in the cup holders and have heard it everytime...I will try leaving it in the backseat and see what happens

Thanks everyone

I was playing around with the HFL today and actaully had the phone in view (usually it's on my waist) and I noticed that each time the display on my E815 changed, I heard the popping noise each time a new message appeared.

It first said "Calling <number>..." and I heard a pop, and then it said "Connected <timer>" and I heard another pop.

That's my explanation.

I heard it's all GSM phones does that. But BT theory makes sense too.

It happens near any speakers not shielded

If I listen closely to my phones speaker(Moto V710), it makes that sound when not even using HFL. I believe that the TL's HFL amplifies this sound, and that this is a normal operation.

I have a similar issue on only outgoing calls where is crackles really bad and the other person cant hear me. I have narrowed it down to what the issue is I just don't know what to do about it. I turns out that on occasions when I make outgoing calls, the bluetooth down fully pair with the phone because during the crackle, I can hear audio thru the car's speakers, but when I grab the phone and blow into the mic on the phone you can hear me. Usually when a phone is paired the earpiece and mic are disable. I just don't know what to do now.

I have this problem with my new Verizon Motorola RAZR v3c, but did NOT have this problem with my previous phone, a T-Mobile Nokia 6600.
