I think the only thing you can do for a 07 navi system now is to change the startup screen.

I've been waiting for hacks to get rid of the OK button and add a trip computer ever since I bought my TL.

there is a module that you can buy for the 07+ tls to get rid of the okay button. its from KP technologies and what it does is push the ok button for you.

the person that originally cracked the software on the navi was banned from this site, for selling a custom mod against the forum rules. The guys name was angrydad, you might be able to find his personal site but I doubt any further development has occured.

Its not all that hard..

Just perform complete disassembly, make some room for custom written logger, figure out some way to emulate the non-x86 (dreamcast style cpu, to which the names escapes me at the moment) and your well on your way..

I suspect any further discussion of AD and your bound to see the mods come snooping around this thread/

I have no problems with people discussing the hack for the '07+ okay nag.

It's those pointless debates of AD was right vs wrong that I remove.

I don't think there is a reason to start a new thread when one for this exact query already exists.

The few of us that are in the programming field seem to either not to have the time or desire to do this. I will do my best to attempt this hack sometime soon. It should be easy, the hardest part is going thru all the lines and understanding the functions.

There was a very nice guy AngryDad who was contributing to this cause, but most people began to abuse his time with asking him to personalize his code; this is another reason why even if one does have a solution, he may be hesitant to post it. Besides he was banned, thus I am also hesitant to follow his route. <-- this is the main reason I believe the hack is not released...

The $70 dollar adapter that is mentioned above is a simple macro, so yes it will work. All it does it "presses" the OK button for you.

Besides the 07-08 the OK button screen (and the boot up) is faster than in TL 04-06, this could be another reason why no one is rushing to accomplish this task.

Since AngryDad knows the system by now, it will be our best bet to get in touch with him and offer a compensation for his time thru another medium.

Lets hope that some of you, from the programming field, will get the time and solve this little hassle that all of us have to go through. We will be in your debt forever It doesn't bother me that much but if there is a way to avoid it... And paying $70 for some module that you have to install seems silly to me

P.R.E.A.M., can you please PM me the instructions on the start up screen
thanx in advance.

since we are on the topic of Navi, does anyone know where can I upgrade my DVD for free? , I really want to see the direction of the streets
