I am a new TL owner. Recently I picked up a 2006 TL, low miles, but with no navigation. I am looking to put the OEM navigation in the car. Found a seller on ebay that sells a kit, so I might go that route.

So here are my questions...

What is the difference between the 2006 nav and 2007+ nav?

What mods are available for these navigation systems? (whats popular or a must)

Can the 2007+ nav be modded like the 2006 nav?

What are my options for iPhone integration (music)?

First off the 2007 Navigation I believe comes with Nav Traffic capabilities vs the 04-06 navigation and is a lot clearer in my opinion. The 07 radio is also able to play mp3 CDs, the 04-06 setup cannot.

As for mods, you have the DOMs unit which can be used to display video on your navigation screen via an RCA jack.

For iphone integration for music, you have options such as the iSimple or USA Spec for connecting your iphone for music. There are many threads on this.
