Non -Navi to Navi Conversion -> Wire harness

So, I am starting to put together all my parts to install the factory navi into my car.. I do not want to purchase the OEM Wire Harness since I will have to rip my car apart to put it all in.. (and plus it costs a boat load!) .. I am also not great at wiring.. Are there any members on here that can help me with this part?

Thanks!
Rj

you can buy one for 200-300 dollars from a guy on ebay, to modify the harnesses you will still need to rip apart the car....

^^ wow.. thats awesome lol

I dont mind ripping up the whole car.. I do not like ripping out the wire harnesses... that is what I hate. I should have clarified that. I have removed everything in a car before to the bare metal. And the part that was the biggest pain was removing the wire harness and making sure they run all correctly. I hated that because it was the hardest part to remember.

Do you know the name of the ebay guy who makes the wire harness? Can you pm me if anything? Thanks!

Csmeance.. could you possibly help me out with this swap once I have everything? lol

Thanks!

theres actually a guy on ebay that has everything but the navi drive up.. his auction ends today. Its not a bad deal if your gonna start the conversion. Its also out of a Type-S so you get the XMnavtraffic too. Ill try to find the guy that makes the wiring harness and let you know bzyrice.

His name is Martin (ebay user acurahondatech). You can email him at acurahondatech@comcast.net.

There is a lot to remove, but I didn't take out the headliner or instrument pod. Most of it is on the right side of the car.

When I have some extra money, which might be sometime in the next month I will contact this martin guy.

Ok.. so I have the Navi Screen and the DVD player!! Woohoo!! .. Just got them today!
So, I got the most expensive parts from a guy on the s2000 forum I used to be on.

Anyways, I am trying to get the sub display now. Do I NEED to get the trunk liner? That part is pretty expensive. It is almost 150.00!

Below are the parts I need still (plus the custom harness):
35890-SEP-A11 SWITCH ASSY., NAVIGATION GUIDE& HANDS FREE TELEPHONE $26.59
84651-SEP-A01ZA LINING ASSY., L. TRUNK SIDE ( GRAPHITE BLACK ) $146.76
39710-SEP-A41 DISPLAY ASSY., INFORMATION CENTER $185.12
39835-SEP-A51 ANTENNA ASSY., GPS $89.05
90132-SV4-003 SCREW, ET (5X16) $3.08
91540-S0A-003 CLIP, HARNESS BAND (96.9MM) (NATURAL) $4.98
91601-SH3-013 GROMMET, SCREW (5MM) (BLACK) $7.64
93893-05008-07 SCREW-WASHER (5X8) $2.12
93901-25280 SCREW, TAPPING (5X12) $1.40

Do you know/remember or have any pics of where his harness tapped into? I have the entire interior chassis harness (fuse box and everything) pulled from a 2007 base w/ Nav car and I am thinking I could probably just make my own harness from it but I need to know where it taps into. I’m swapping it into a 2007 so it’s straight across.
