Newbie questions about Nav system, please help

All, I know that this is a newbie questions, but please bare with me. I have spent the last 2-3 days on the forum looking for information (that i'm pretty sure are outdated), so please someone answer the following questions:

1) I am looking at the option to get a bypass board to run a dvd player to the navigation, I found a bunch of information about bypass boards that are no longer for sale...Please tell me what is available out there and which one you would recommend?

2) DVD-A....Is there a way I can burn mp3 into DVD disc and play it through the DVD-A system. There was a bunch of technical term...just looking for current situation.

Thanks all and great info and forum!

A vendor called nav-tool sells the unit to add video inputs into the TL's navi system. You will need an audio adapter too if you have an 04-06 TL.

Why do you want the music on a DVD? There is no surround info in a MP3.
Just burn all your MP3 folders to a CD. The system will play it fine, and don't tell me you can't fit your collection on a CD. No one drives that much

people burn it onto dvd's so they can fit more music on to one dvd rather than a cd. In my MDX, I have 2 DVD CD's that are filled with approx 250 songs each. Sadly the TL does not play MP3 DVD's, only DVD-A

Thanks for all the input so far. If I am correct, my 04 does not play mp3 and therefore fitting more music on the dvd rather than a cd sounds pretty good to me.

is nav-tool the only available option right now? What happen if i go with that and then run the FM modulator for the sound instead? What are other options? I hear that they have a cable that does the sound too.
