Its also time for me to get a new battery, and really dont want to go with acura/honda for a battery

personaly i wouldnt go with just the red top, maybe as a second battery. If you only want one battery i would go with the yellow because its a "deep cycle" battery meaning it can be compleatly drained of power and recharged with no harm to it as for the red top is mainly a starting battery putting most of its power out in the first few seconds. The red top will work but your amp wont beable to rely on it for all its power so the strain is going to be put on your alternator.

I went from OEM to Red top to Kinek, to XS. XS has been by far the best.
