New Door Speakers-Which ones?!

I am buying new door speakers for my 06 today. I have it narrowed down to the Infinity 6022i's or the Alpine SPS-600. Any suggestions on which ones to buy? They are about the same price. Thanks!

This is what I would do. I would cruise crutchfield.com and start comparing speakers. Usually the mounting depth will determine which speakers you can and can't use. You also have to be aware of the impedance of the speakers and compare that to the stock speaker's impedances. They should be the same. Personally I really like the Rockford Fosgate Power series speakers because I listen to alot of Rock. They also have an aluminum cone so they'll never ever blow out with the stock amp. Infinity is a good brand if you like a super clean sound.

i went with the infinity's but they didnt fit well in the door and i didnt want to have to cut away anything to make then fit. I ended up buying some Polk db651s and the fit and sound perfect.

I would go with none on my 1st generation i have the bose speakers still but modified with a nice pioneer single din radio which i could control the freq. And if you turn the hpf(high pass filter) on to 125hz it would sound beautiful with the mid range on. But in your case if you want to get new 1's i will go with audiopipe bullet point mid range speakers or o2's(oxygen audio) or whip audio's with some tweeters 6-12 inches away you will get pure voice out the speakers obviously with a 4-channel amp and you could also add a 8"inch midrange speaker and replace the sub hole in the back.
