Ok so I'm in the market for some new sound. Just purchased a 07 type s and expected the sound system that would compare to it's younger brother 2nd gen. And that was def not the case. The 2nd gen type s came with a Bose subwoofer. What do I need to get a clean and clear sound with just a little thump?? Price range is 500 or less with install. Nothing to serious...

 

Add a real sub and amp. Call it a day.

depends on what your looking for. do you want sq or just a good boom to your music. if you want sq id go alpine or if you want to spend a little extra go diamond audio for more spl bass id go kicker

Personally I am a huge fan of JL products.

 

Can't go wrong with JL Products, a bit pricey, but I'd pay the price for some top end quality products. I also recommend MB Quart Components. Ran these speakers plus a JL 12 W6 in my old Legend with a JL HD 900/5 amp powering them, best sounding system I ever had.

 

I stay away from Quart post 2005. The current stuff branded MB Quart is just re-badged Maxxsonics stuff (Hifonics).

 

nothing wrong with hifonics brutus series...its been a damn good amp to me running strong for 2 years at 1 ohm and i play i hard daily
