No worries! I figured I'd give it a shot last night following the RL tutorial but must have done something incorrectly because the OEM splash screen loaded after the update. I'm in no rush but it'll be cool to see something else other than the regular boot screen.

hi everyone,i have a 2008 honda legend and i tried to change that damn splash but i had no success..the thing is i updated all the bins from disk but the screen loads the oem image after software update and reboot?any ideas anyone?i searched everywhere ant i got no clue why is doing that..

Looking for an Ok Removal for the newer 3.C0 disk version. I have tried what I have but I either get a reset to factory defaults as soon as put the nav disk back in or makes the maps inoperable and have to do a system restore. Be nice to have that screen gone again like I had it

Tried use Bysin to put a custom splash on the 2014 disc and it comes back with Invalid XIP File. Guess I'll have to use the stock splash screen now.

I just tried it on my new 2014 White 4.C0 disc, and it worked fine on the first try. Just like on previous 4.B1, 4.92 and all other versions prior to that.

 

I wondered if anyone had the angry's dad ok removal file for 3.50.. I only came across dead link.. managed to change my wallpaper and looking forward for the ok removal.. thx

I am going through this for the 3.5 OK hack and am getting a "bootloader" error. Unable to open Bootloader. how do I get around this?

Check the instructions at the beginning of the thread for info on which files do what. I can only provide the files I have and don't really want to get into hand-holding when the instructions are in this (admittedly long) thread. I also put a text file up with my Cliff's Notes instructions. Check that too.

 

thanks, wasn't looking for hand holding, just instructions say go through angry dad to do the extraction and everything, your files are already done through the extraction and ready to go so no one needs the angry dad program is kinda what my question was

I noticed at the beginning of this thread that Acura got hip to these hacks, and "fixed" newer versions of the DVD (Mines is a grey disc, v4.18A). So, I just wanted to show my frustration/dissapointment. Thanks

 

Not true. The v4 disks could only be hacked to change the splash screen.

Took me about an hour but got the 4.a2 disk splash working. Thanks for all the past advise in this thread from everyone that helped make this stuff possible, it's more then enough info to figure out on your own. That stupid "ok" needs to go though....
