Navigation Hack Guide: Welcome Screen Mod, Trip Computer, OK Button Nag Removal
Just to verify ; If I just want to change the wallpaper once the Nav starts up (which is the dealership Name of where the vehicle was first purchase from + Plug acura logo and building). Do I just fallow the first step of: "How do I change my wallpaper??" + the "'07 TL Instructions on Post #250"
Since I have an 07 TL type S.
Now the reason why I ask is because I wouldn't want to remove the Press "OK"/ warning letters. Like my nav going black, if i'm not using it.
Plus if I do this, it wouldn't change anything else on my nav besides the welcome home screen wallpaper?

Can anyone tell me if you are able to hack the 2012 orange disk to remove the OK button? I am still using the original orange disk that originally came with my 2005 TL which I've did the "AD free" ok button hack long ago. I think it is time for an updated map, but I can't go back to having to press OK every time I start my car up.
Also if it can be done but the procedure has changed, please direct me for more info.

dwb993,
Do you have or know where I can find the instructions on just changing the splash screen? I used an already pre-package file set (mod) and I was able to change the splash screen, however when I re-inserted my original disk, I got a disk error something about the disk installed is older....not the exact wording. I recently came across some other posts with the same issue. I also have v4.55 white disc...not sure if this version would be forgiving. Anywho, I appreciate your reply....thanks

The error you saw can be eliminated by reloading your OEM disk---pop it in, wait for the error message, press MAP, MENU and CANCEL and hold them to get into the Diagnostics screen. I believe you press VERSION and then DOWNLOAD to reload the system from the DVD. Your Navi should work as it did from the factory after that.
dwb993,
I understand the procedure for reverting it back to factory standards. How do I go about maintaining the new splash screen when reloading the OEM disc. I appreciate you taking the time to reply to my questions.

Just completed the hack on my 3.B0 disk and it actually worked. Took me about 5 hours of working on it, but it worked. If somebody held a gun to my head and said do it again, I'm not sure I could. When I loaded the disk and it actually started to load, I couldn't believe it. I now have a cool picture, no OK button and the trip computer works. Very happy camper. I have wanted to do this for 3 years and finally sat down and tried today. Success feels good. I am not throwing my hack disk away in case I have issues later.

How did you do this when most of the links are bad?
I lost my navi hack today from a battery disconnect and I've been reading, but I can't find what files I need to get everything back.
I have mileage, AC etc. the works.
Orange 3.5.
Can anyone help?

The second link has all the hacks in one file, complete with a TL background. There's also a link to the instructions post.
I have all the files here: http://tournamentclock.com/index_files/acuranavmod.htm

Do I only put this file on a cd? I need to have it with the loader ONLY right?

I finally got mine working. Not sure which of these it was, but until now I have not been able to get the Nav player to read my CD or DVD that contains the hack:
1) I created a brand new Data CD rather than overwriting an old one (this was probably the one that did it)
2) I included all the original Nav files on the CD, not just the BNHH401A.BIN and BN2HHMLD.BIN
3) I burned it using 10X speed and ISO 9660

I was able to use greatbrit's older version on his website to get it wirking with my old 3.30 disk, but is overwritten when I put my 2012 3.B0 disk in. Funny thing is....it wouldnt work when burned on a dvd-r. I burned it as a cd-r and whammo.... now I just need to to a little more work tomorrow to get it working with my new disk..
Here is a link to my ISO file for my navi hack. It works with my 3.B0 and Bruce Banner used it to hack his 3.5 as well. This is for BN2HH12C. BIN loader, so if you have the other, this will not work. Take this file and burn it with image burner (write file to disk). It has the trip computer, nag screen delete, AC controls, and a new greeting image (very simple non-offensive acura emblem with carbon fiber background). If you have BN2HH12C. BIN loader, this is the easiest way to do the hack for the orange disk 3.B0 and 3.5 (for sure, might work with others as well).

TY man!
I was able to get it to work with my 3.30G disk, but for the life of me, I cannot get it to work with my 3.B0. I have tried 3 different versions of dumpnavi that I have found online with no luck. I got up early this morning and have already been through 4 cd's not counting all the dvd's I burned through in the last month...lol. The most I can get it to do with the new disk is change the bitmap image. The nag screen, trip computer etc...still doesnt work.
I finally effing got it to work for the newest 3.B0 orange disk!! Apparently the nag screen (ok button) hack isnt compatable. I used this walkthrough doing it the old fashioned way with a command prompt leaving out the nag hack.
