Navi switched from Acura to Honda screen BY Dealer (Naperville,IL)
I just had my 05 TL in for service for a speaker that needed to be replaced. I left my car there for a day and drove it back home today. I noticed that the opening screen says Honda navigation instead of Acura navigation. I also noticed some of the features were different. It included a Trip Calculator. The only thing that bugs me is the clock is wrong..anyone know how to reset the clock. I tried through the options but it wont change on the dash. anyone have this problem with the Honda Navi disk in their TL?

This happened to me when I bought my used 06. I had verison 2.4f or something crazy. POI's were so old. Still had Summit Banks listed. Went into a Honda spash screen and lost features with it. Got the dealer to order me a new disc version 3.6. But still going to Honda screen. Dealer didnt even know how to fix it. I checked this forum and luckly there is a fix. Use the search to find out more details. First do what Noah82 says and put the key in postion 1 or 2 and eject the disc. CHeck and see if you have the proper verison. If you do, you may need to take the disc inside and extract a few files. Pop the disc in your PC and and copy these files from the disc
D:\BN2HH110.BIN
D:\BN2HH12C.BIN
D:\BN2HHMLD.BIN
D:\BN2HN12B.BIN
D:\BN2HN18B.BIN
D:\BN2HN380.BIN
D:\BNHN404A.BIN
D:\BNHH401A.BIN
Edit the filename BNHH401A.BIN to BN2HH120.BIN. Burn a disc with those files. Put the burned disc into the nav. It will say invailed disc. Its normal. Go into the secret menu by hold map/menu/cancel until you see a screen pop up. Touch "Verison" then "Load disc". It should clear it up since it did for me.

If you have a n original 3.4-3.6 disk, you don't need to modify anything. Just leave the disk in the drive and perform the "Load disk" step:
This will force the navigation to reload the files off of the DVD (most of the time, some of the files are cached). Our navi disk contains files for both the Accord and the TL. Hopefully when your system resets, the TL files are read in.
Good luck!

Conclusion.....The service adviser did try pulling a "not my problem" deal. I had to talk to the service adviser's boss to get Acura of Naperville to buy a new disk for me. They didnt even know how to reboot the navi to the correct version. It took them 2 days to figure it out. I'm not sure if they bought the 2005 navi disk or the 2007 navi disk...anyway to find out?

I think the version is indicated in the hidden diagnostics menu (Map + Menu + Cancel) OR you can simply eject it from the DVD-Rom in the trunk and look at the label.

Need help please!
Sorry to bring up this old thread, but I have the same problem with my car.
A few weeks ago, my navi went a little off and wasn't tracking my location correctly then spontaneously rebooted and started up with the Honda welcome screen. I'm missing a lot of features, including voice controls for temperature since those are in Farenheit and my car is in Celsius.
I've tried reloading the disc, but whenever it restarts, it restarts the Honda version. I even tried riomp300's suggestion, but it says "Disc Load Error" with CDs and DVD+RWs.
Any other suggestions? I have navi disc 3.40C
I also noticed that Shell gas stations have the little Shell icon... didn't have that when the Navi was set for the TL....
