Sorry. Previous image is what it'd look like on screen. This is the one you need save as BMP and use to load:

No problem. I'm a big UT fan with an Acura TL. Replacing the U in the logo with the A was a pain in the butt to get texture and lighting right. The font is called Impact, FYI.

I'm 28, yet I'm still a big fan of Nintendo...

Actual file:

In the car (at night, with no lights on):

In the car (at night, with lights on and further back):

Hopefully there are some others out there who can appreciate this as much as I do!! I'll be creating more video-game based images like this as time permits.

Here's the screen I used on my '07 TL-S:

It looks totally awesome on the Nav screen, way better than here.

That is awesome. I love pictures that have to do with space and Earth. Nice work.

Thanks - I always liked that image. It's called Earthlights. I wish we could have two splash screens, one for day ond one for night. Earthlights is totally eye-popping at night, but it's a little too dark in bright daylight.

Can someone put "Dan's Acura TL" on this pic for me? You can take the "TL" out of the corner and replace it... thanks!!!

If you can get that in its original file format (assuming it was done in Adobe Illustrator), I could do it in like four seconds.

View: is what it will LOOK like on the navigation unit.
Load: is the image you need to actually load into the unit.

If you look at the instructional threads, the nav unit will stretch the image a litlte bit for display but it can only be a certain size to load.

I was just messing around with various Adobe programs and thought I'd take you up on this. It's not much, but it's at least it's a little something. I figure I get so many great tips from these boards that I try and give back whenever possible.

PS - you'll want to rename this to "Back.bmp" instead of "Back2.bmp". I had to name it as "Back2.bmp" because my FTP site already had a "Back.bmp" and I didn't want to replace it.

Here's that in case you want to see it:

Nintendo Font!!!

Much appreciated. Let me know if you find one that is a solid black background. I will start with this one though.

Thanks again.

No problem; however, I didn't "find" that; I created it from scratch. Here's one that is solid black:

Again, you'll need to change the file name before updating your .BIN file.

I'm still learning the tricks of the trade when it comes to creating art on computers; I'm much more of a pencil-to-paper type artist, but hey, everyone's got to start using computers sometime.

Here's one I did yesterday while watching that BORING Bears/Saints game:

you GOTTA post that one. I like it. I also understand. most of the computers I built for friends in the past 10 years were while watching a bad footbal game, or a movie I had seen so many times i prctically had it memorized.

I like Lovie Smith as he did a great job when he was in St. louis, but I really wanted to see New Orleans & San Diego in the SB. Since both are out it does not matter much to me anymore.

I went through and cleaned up this thread. Please post actual usual images and not shots of the loaded images on your nav screen. Thank you.

Keep up the good work everyone.

Hi, I'm sorry, but I am an amateur.
How do you guys put these images into the screen?

I'd appreciate somebody's brief instruction as to inserting a new picture to the original screen.

Thanks.
