Make your own "DVD Switch"

Ok guys I know a lot of you probably want "DVD" button as bad as I do. So here you go. I got my hands on a few of the DVD logo's the size for the switch yesterday. I did the paint removal, sanding, wiped with alcohol to prep for the DVD vinyl and then sprayed. Let dry for 15 minutes and used a razor blade and tweezers to pull the letters up with out damaging the paint job. I think it looks hot! Now I just gotta find the wiring scheme for the terminals since the harness is on back order. I will be selling these DVD logos for $5.00. If you are interested then PM me. I will mail them out USPS in a standard envelope the same day. Enjoy..here are pics.

The 07 Foglight switch from an Accord.

After I sanded the top part of the paint off using really fine sandpaper.

Applied the DVD vinyl logo.

Waiting for the paint to dry. I used "Semi Flat" black. The original black has a slight sheen to it.

Finally the Finished Product!
Let me know what you guys think.

Total time it took. 30mins!

Yes and No. Depending on the dealer and the mod. The more mods you have, the more you may have to argue for your warranty repairs.

instead of sanding, you could use model paint thinner, and remove the paint that way. I know people on the forum have done that. I personally havent yet, cuz I dont know when imma put in a dvd system (after I get money for headrest monitors)

maybe nice to have the vinyls for when i do though...

i tried paint thinner.....didn't work..just smelled bad..not to mention i dont' think it's good for the plastic..paint thinner weakens plastic..use a really fine sand paper. like 800grit or so

That would be great if someone could do that. I didn't get the harness so I'll need more help than most...unless someone wants to sell me their harness! I'd pay $50.00 for an 07 Fog light harness.
