I'm looking at getting the Peripheral Electronics PXAMG for my '05 TL (XM, non-navi). Can I hook this up behind dash or do I have to route the cable from the trunk to the center consol?

The instructions I have seen online, only show the trunk install. I would much rather install behind the dash.

I believe it is no different than my wifes 06 exl Accord xm no navi. The only connection that has to be made is under the head unit at the xm connection. Do a search and look for Uncald4 he is Travis at Gig Harbor Autoworks. P.M. or email Travis he can help you with everything you need including a great price on the unit.

rudyjr is correct. In the 2005 TL it must plug in behind the radio. No running it from the trunk.

Hi all! Great site and great people posting unbelievable info and pics of their Acuras! After reading many of your posts and looking at all the great pictures, I was ready to purchase the iSimple iPod interface solution for my 2004 TL w/Navi.

I got to Best Buy and they only had one left that was compatible with "2004 Acura TL"! I took a closer look at the box and saw a note on the inside cover of the box that said "Not compatible with Radio Navigation". The Best Buy sales person informed me that I would get a refund if the installers couldn't get it to work with my car BUT I would not get the labor for the installation refunded (which makes sense, I guess).

Which iSimple model, if any, is compatible with the 2004 TL w/Navi?

Any and all input would be GREATLY appreciated!

 

Click on the link in the third post above. Travis (uncald4) can hook you up with everything you need. He helped me out with both of the cars I did. My daughter works for BB and they told me that the unit would not work with my steering wheel controls.Travis told me that it would. I installed it myself and it does everything perfectly.

 

The box lies, it works with Navi. Mine said the same thing.
