Yes and no. To get the sub display working (to show AC info) you would still need a nav display and a custom wire harness connecting the nav display to the subdisplay.
Great info! I was planning on getting everything wrapped: the AC vents, iPad bezel, radio face and sides by the shift knob (I have the OEM Carbon fiber kit that covers the seat heater switches and cupholders, so those wouldn't need to get wrapped). Now I will probably just paint the bezel as that sounds easier.
