Components in the front.

The say that the rear speakers are just "fill" in anyways.

No coaxials in rear. You only want tweeters in front of you. soundstage will be jacked. midrange only in rear

True SQ systems dont need rear fill but I was under the assumption based on the 2 seperate pics that he has a set of comps and coaxials. No? Rear speakers wont screw up imaging if they are properly attenuated esp. when ur talking about upgrading speakers only and keeping a stock amp and HU.

I agree. It doesnt take much power to overcome the front stage for a passenger sitting in the back with their head about a foot away from the speaker and for them it sounds much better. It just needs to be done right.

Will this really improve sound quality at all over the stock system?

In my honest opinion, not if you are going to feed it stock power. 4 ohm speakers vs 2 ohm will result in lower volumes.

Let me rephrase. I don't think it will be a noticeable difference that is worth the time or the money invested. Volume associated with impedence (2 vs. 4 ohm) is not really a "sound quality" feature as it is a luxury but just remember that stock speakers are very efficient and designed to make the very most of what that OEM amp has to offer.
