Installation of TL Navigation, DVD-A and HFL into NSX

One of our ambitious NSXers has embarked on the following project:

Installation of the following 2004 TL parts into his NSX:

- Voice Recognition DVD Navigation
- 8" touch screen
- 6 disc in-dash changer with DVD-A (probably leaving the XM out)
- Handsfree link with Bluetooth

Wowww! Awesome install and a great find, points for you. It even looks halfway decent.

Unfortunately, I have to move it to BT/navi....

You see in the last pic that he changed his modded to screen to the "Honda Navigation System" and then to a picture of an NSX when it starts up. Any one on this board know how to can be achived?

I'm super curious about the boot-up screen since it means he burned the Nav disc on a DL disc. People on this forum have tried that and been unsuccesful. If changing the Nav boot-up screen is possible, maybe getting rid of the annoying disclaimer is also possible...

For those curious about the NAVI, I had a hunch that lithiumus didnt invent the wheel here, and this morning got a little google happy and found a TON of NAVI Info.

First I read this thread:
http://www.acuramdx.org/forums/showt...5&pagenumber=1

that thread linked me to this thread (here on A-TSX)
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15410

It also mentioned a thread over at clubtsx, but I couldnt get that to load.
http://www.clubtsx.com/bbs/showthrea...5&pagenumber=1

Happy Reading.

PS: For you TL'ers who just want "the goods", look at posts in the A-TSX link above, by a user named AK217. He seems to have made the most progress on this. But per my post in the end of that thread, i'm not sure if he released the tools yet.

I think Soopa should start another sub forum somewhere called "Honda Acura Alpine NAVI Information"

With such forums as different features and how to hack the units and such.
I know it wont happen, but I am dreaming of a place where all these great minds can work together so I can play solitaire on my TL screen :P

Hey Casper42, I was reading the tsx site. Very informative. I remember reading that thread a couple of months ago when it was first started. I haven't read it since. The progress seems to be going well.
It would be cool to play solitaire or any game on the navi screen when i'm waiting in the car.
