was up i wanna know how i would go about installing a navigation system on my base tl..can i get the orginal one used for nav tl?

 

na man dont even bother wit the orinal one from acura unless u wanna spend over $3000 just for navigation.....the best way to do it is by getting an aftermarket double din and custom make a radio kit for it cuz they dont sell one

 

that way u only spend $1000 or less

 

you can get the factory nav on ebay for 1600 for everything you need including instructions. Sellers name acurahondatech. His name is Martin and he knows his stuff!!

 

i seen him before on ebay but im checking him now. it says that he is no longer a registered user.

don't listen to this guy, go OEM try looking at the junk yard for the part and try finding parts for the 07-08 navigation which is a better nav. It willl come with video converted for back up cam installations and video input for your screen (with some mod) there's alot of DIY on how. double din looks ugly and stupid. Go with martin he did my 04 intstallation and then i upgrade to a 08 navi plus he did the backup cam video switch and AUX connection. there;s no way to tell that my car was base (i guess from the vin # you might)

if you try finding the part yourself you might be looking to around 1k, if you go with martin is under 2k installed (no headache) with warranty parts and labor.

 

Should have just bought a NAV TL in the first place

WhiteBB2 gave an important link. use it, also you can search as many many many many members have done this conversion. since you have an 04, I would check into buying an 07-08 navi...that way you have their features!!!!
