INSTALL gone wrong help please.. doms unit + back up camera

Okay so guys, i finalyl recieved my thigns yesterday, and i've been doing reserach for the past 2 months... anyways this is how it went

i starrted by taking everything apart. got access to the nav box and i used the PnP doms unit to connect to it. this is what i did.

blue wire = used male and female connecters connnected it to Green reverse wire.
Green wire + 2 white wires + black ground wire for camera = connected it all to 1 washer and grounded them.
black dom's unit power wire = connected female and male up to cig lighter. connected it to red stripe wire.
black camera power wire = connected to a 5 amp fuse that came with the camera via female and male up to cig ligher connected to red stripe wire.

THIS IS WHAT WENT WRONG.. i reconnected the battery... i didnt reconnect the center console. i left it all unhooked.

I turned my car on and,... the nav screen was all light and i can barely see anything.. its scrolling up and down.. the image ont he screen... then my friend thats hepling me install siad he ahrd the 5 amp fuse " blow " heard a pop... and then when i tried connecting to the cig lighter ... apparently that blew too... i looked on the dom's unit red indicater and theres no light.. which means theres no poewr..

Please help me guys, i hae no clue what to do and im scared i damaged the vechicle.. i spent 500 on eveything and after 6 hours of installationg... i get this..

Exclamation

bump..

any help please?

Well... heres what has happened. As of now, i have the dom's unit hooked up properly and i have no problem with the video 1 and 2.

However, the rest of my car is (#$#..ed...

- reverse lights don't turn on.
- signals don't turn on
- DRLs don't work.
- Power windows dont work
- Wipers don't work
- gauges don't work ( can't tell how fast i am goign. )

Those are all that i know of right now.

What i did wrong was GROUNDED the power wire for the camera, and connected power to the GROUND. Once i turned my ignition on, and threw it in reverse, this is where everything " blew "

What i did was hooked the camera up to video 1 of doms unit and used the switch, the camera is OK. however it does not switch over to the camera when i put it into video 2 because theres no power going to the backups..

I went out and bought a fuse tester, all fuses seem to be okay.

Is there ANYthing else i can do before i bring it to a shop and have them find out the issue for 85\H just to look at it.

thanks in advance.. any help is greatly appreciated =[

i wish i can help you if i've done this mod (which I don't have) myself, but i haven't....
most importantly i think you should've reconnected everything before you turned on your car...

check the under-hood fuses to see if any are blown. Also check the ones again in the fuse-box on the driver side, the under-hood ones have the DRL, power windows and other stuff.

How did you hook up dom's unit now, did you plug it into the cig lighter or what?

Agree. Go though the fuses and replace what ever is blown.
