Ilink Valor Now Plays Mp4 videos from Ipod
Hey all...not sure if this is old news but I just got an update from Ilink Valor's tech support. In the past to watch videos off your video ipod you needed to convert the mp4 videos to avi's or compatible formats then drag and drop the files onto the ipod.
There is a firmware update available on their website for the ilink. And below is the instructions on how to play whatever videos are normally on your ipod video. No need to convert them anymore....I tested it out and works like a charm. SOOO much easier than converting them...here is the email with instructions....
The unit can play the MP4 files from iTunes as is now. Anything that the iPod can play on it's screen can be played through the iLink. To access the iTunes videos, the operation is as follows:
1. Enter the iPod Menu
2. Press the A/V SEL button on the remote control.
This will black out the screen and restore control to the iPod via the ClickWheel
3. Using the ClickWheel, select VIDEOS, then the video file you would like to play
Ensure that the TV OUT setting is turned ON in the video settings
4. Press PLAY on the iPod and the video will be passed through to the screen via the iLink
Hope this helps....
