Icelink vs. Neo Ion
Icelink vs. Neo Ion
I have had trouble researching the Neo Ion due to the fact that this forum does not allow you to search for three letter words. Can anyone give me a definitive pros/cons list for the Neo Ion and the Icelink? My udnerstanding is that both units are very similar, but that the Icelink allows you to use your preset keys to activate various playlists, and that it has a mode where the Ipod controls are inactive and one where they are active. From what I can tell, neither unit allows you to view song info from the head unit on an '04 TL (non-NAVI), so I guess there isn't much benefit to the Icelink's setup. Can anyone tell me why I should lean one way or the other? I am leaning towards the Neo, because it just leaves the ipod controls active, so I can scroll through my songs on the ipod itself, while still using my track skip buttons on the steering wheel. It sounds like a hassle to use the playlist format that comes with the Icelink when you can't view the info on the head unit. Thanks in advance...
From everything I have read on the Apple site, their setup works identically to the Icelink, with the exception that it shows the song info on the stereo. I believe the Apple unit runs $100 more... I wonder if that's worth $100 more.
