HFL not putting out bluetooth signal

Wondering if anyone has had problems with Hfl not putting out a bluetooth signal for phone to communicate and if so is there a diy fix isntead of replacing module.

Negative, Hondatech and only one of our models at the time came with hfl and that was the accord form 03 to 07. Now the civics pilots and crz are getting them but they all newer models and have not had any failures at this time.

Everyone just swaps the unit when they fail.

I was just donated a supposedly working HFL, all I need is a broken one and I should be able to determine what failed and assess repairability. They appear to be well made, so it might be a failure on a custom IC thats unrepairable. Or, it could just be a super simple off the shelf component failure thats the root cause of all the issues people have, and can be replaced in minutes for next to nothing.

I thought someone traced the failure to a single capacitor? Or am I thinking of something else?

update for those who have read this.....
it is a simple capacator on the unit itself for majority of the issues...usually a cheap few dollar fixed if u can solder yourself.....if that doesnt fix it then your out a few bux big deal vs paying hundreds of $.....theres write ups and installs....search button

Mine wasnt showing up on my phone, but the HFL was still working. I unhooked battery for 30 min, at the same time I the took out the HFL module in the roof, cleaned the connectors and reinstalled it. Its worked fine ever since
