I just pick up my 04 TL 6-speed navi 2 days ago. I figure out the navi take long time( about 2 -3 mins) to calucate the route. I guess that is caused by the orange navi Dvd dice because there are a lot of scratches on that orange navi DVD dice.
Can anyone here be able to get me a new dice with cheaper price ?

Not sure if you are using a translator, but to help other members, its the disk he is talking about. You can buy a new disk from acuranavi.com for 180 dollars, it is the latest with the most updated roads/maps. You can look on ebay.com for a used one which will be much cheaper.

 

My bad!! I just found out the right word should be " disc " , not "dice " or " disk "

I have the original orange disk that came with my 2004 TL when I bought it in August 2004 (I replaced it with the newer update last fall but didn't throw it out).

I'll follow up this evening or tomorrow since the disc is at home. I do not have the version number—it's whatever the current version was when I bought my TL, probably 3.30.

I just tried to send you a PM but could not do so—it wouldn't let me do it for some reason. This is what I was going to say:

I dug out my old Navi DVD at home. It is version 3.30G per the label. The jewel box says 3.70, but that's because I ordered last year's update and then put the old disc in the new box when I removed it.

Before we I agree that I should send it to you, you need to verify what version you have by ejecting the disc from the Navi unit in your trunk and looking at the label. The version is listed at the bottom of the label below the DVD-ROM logo. If it is 3.30G or earlier, then you can use this disc; if it is later than 3.30G, then you can't use this disc unless you have the dealer install it for you because you can't go back to an earlier version for some reason.

The old disc isn't doing me much good, so if this version will work in your TL, I'd be happy to find out what postage would cost and then to mail you the disc if you send me the cost of postage via either PayPal or Revolution Money Exchange.
