well, i love the bluetooth and using it with my Blackberry. Can i program someones name into the car, so when they call it would say "Jim" instead of his number "123-456-7890". thanks for the help

 

You can do it.. I think its under settings.. Totally forgot.. read the manual, it should be there

 

I have an 06 and as far as I know you can't do this. If someone know if we can please let us know how.

 

I don't think you can, even in my 08 which has the import phonebook option.
My trick is to not have any friends, only number that calls me is the house

 

Lol. I just started memorizing numbers.

From what I can tell, there is no option to do the name storing. I bought a palm pre that does everything but the car's hfl won't allow anything more than it did with my old pos phone. It did save all the contacts had on the old setup which was cool.

 

Cyb, you cannot do this. You can save the person's number as just a phone number-meaning, instead of saving the number as "Jim's mobile phone", save it as 123-456-7890.

 

It would be nice if the navi displayed who's calling since it has the phonebook imported.
I also find it pretty cheesy when you dial from a saved phonebook and the voice says "dialing the number received from the navigation system" seems like a lot of blah blah for dialing a number from a sync-ed phonebook.
