Going Crazy With Dva-a

Okay,

I have downloaded four programs already... Adobemans GUI, DVD-Audio Solo, DeepBurner Pro, and dBpoweramp music convertor and can still not get music in my TL GRR!

I have made playlists, iso's etc etc and when I pop them into the car, it just says "Disc" and ejects it. I am using DVD-Rs but DVD-AUDIO is supposed to automatcially convert them from Rs to As, but yet they still arent playing.

Any suggestions?

I had similar problems until recently, I had a break-through.

I downloaded Adobeman's DVDA GUI from

http://home.comcast.net/~adobeman/DVDAGUI/

Add your mp3 or wav files into the software. It will convert them to WAV files and create an ISO file.

You then need to have another software program to write the DVD. I used Roxio's Creator Plus

I was able to get approximately 99 songs on one DVD. I just put them into one group, however you could add several songs into different groups.

With a 6 disc changer, I have access to 600 songs without changing a disc - That's pretty much my whole library.

How do you get the adobeman playlist to Roxio? Will it work with Roxio Digital Media SE? I can't figure out how to burn DVD-As... Someone wanna explain it to me? On AIM perhaps? 0.o

The Adobeman software creates a ISO file. Rather than copying each song to the DVD, you, in essence copy one large file. Adobeman put the file (on my computer) into -

C:\Program Files\Adobeman's DVDA GUI\Images

I opened up this folder in Windows explorer and then just double clicked on the ISO file (which was around 4 gigabytes) - The file opened up into Roxio's Creator Plus.

I think this is their web site - http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/re...recordnow.html

If you google "Writing ISO file to DVD" - You'll get several hits - I found a freeware program at

http://www.freewarefiles.com/program_6_205_26380.html

I've never used this program, but it looks like it'll work.

You're looking for anysoftware that will write an ISO file to a DVD.

Good Luck.

Adobeman recommends DeepBurner to burn ISO to DVD.

There are already large threads on Adobeman's programs. If you go through the steps slowly and careful, you might find something you have missed.

Exclamation you guys are missing the point here...

Hi, everyone..
I need some help here...
I personally had no problem making 2 ch dvd-a's using adobeman's GUI but had no luck with 6 channel dvd-a's using DVD solo.
so far i wasted more than 50 dvd-r's and dvd+r's.
I have no problem to the point where I make .iso files using dvd solo and burn it with nero, dvd decrypter, deep burner, and etc etc etc.............. T.T
but when I put it in my TL, she never reads it!!!!!!!!
I tried 2X, 4X, 6X, 8X, 16X.
I tried dvd-r, dvd+r.
I tried nero, decrypter, deep burner, dvd solo it self for burning the image file.
I tried direct burning with dvd solo.

Please help me...please...
I'd really like to be able to enjoy my collection of songs through TL's gorgeous 5.1 ch....T.T

I failed the first attempt I made at the 5.1 DVD, but the second time, rather than burning the DVD using DVD Solo, I had it creat an .ISO image, and then used the Sonic DVD Copy program that came on my laptop to create the DVD-A, and it worked fine. I'm using Office Depot brand DVD-R discs.

see, my issue is, I can create a playlist in Adobemans GUI just fine, and then creating the iso. I have tried NTI DVD Burner, Solo, Deep Burner and another program (cant remember, Im at work) and all have the option to burn iso's. Goes on the disc fine, but like i said, when it's in the TL, it just says "DISC" and ejects. Ive wasted litterally 20 DVD's

I wonder if it's the brand DVD you're using? I know some folks said they could not get the DVD-R to play but the DVD+R would. I have not had a problem using DVD-R as that's all I have, and it worked fine. Have you gotten any DVD-A discs to play in your TL? I know mine came with a demonstrator DVD-A. If you haven't tried that one lately, you may want to pop it in just to verify that it's the DVD's your trying to produce and not the player.

What is wrong here? I've searched through many threads and posts but couldn't find the answer yet....

Maybe it's a compatibility problem with your burner. Not that I have anything fancy, it's the combo CD/DVD burner that came in my $599.00 HP Laptop, so I'm sure it's nothing top of the line. Like I said, using the Adobeman GUI software, I was able to produce a 2 channnel DVD-A the first time. It took two times to get the 5.1 right because I tried to burn the DVD from the DVD Solo software (trial version) and the computer locked up. The next attempt I had it create an .ISO image on the hard drive and used the Sonic software (DVD Copy Module) that came on the laptop to burn the DVD and it worked fine. I don't see why my Sonic software would work any different that the programs you guys are using, so I'm pretty much at a loss as well. Sorry I can't be of more help!

ehh idk... i work in customer service so i know to NEVER assume that IM RIGHT ALL THE TIME (like my customers think about themselves) but I built my computer from scratch... have nice parts in it.... i dont think it's the burner itself because DVD movies are just fine and I can burn regular wav and mp3 cds... idk but im not ruling that out entireley

I don't know anything about RiDATA burners.... by the name is sounds like a cheapo (could be wrong). I think you're better off going brand name with burners (Plextor, Yamaha, etc.). I always buy Plextor and I have no issues.

i just got this working as well, tried 3 different burning software and found Nero works best.

all i did was made the .iso with Adobemans GUI, right click on that .iso file, selected 'open with' and chose nero.exe from program files. u have nothing else to do but press burn.

It's not the 2 channel dvd-a we are having trouble making it. It's the 6 ch(5.1).
I had no problem burning 2 ch dvd-a using adobeman's gui. but when I used the adobeman's script to create 5.1 ch .wav and also used dvd solo to create .iso file and burned it with nero, deep burner, dvd decrypter, and etc, my TL won't read it.
It just says " DVD-A 2 READ" with "2" flashing. After about 1 min. I have to take the disk out since it doesn't read it...

wow... i dont even know what that issue is! litterally... all i am doing... exact steps, NOTHING else:

Create playlist in group 1 (just doing 1 group for a test). Save as ISO. open ISO up with a burner (my pc automatically opens NTI DVD Burner but Ive uses Solo and Deep Burner - for examples sake I am using Deeo Burner), Deep burner Pro. I burn the ISO to my DVD disc and pop it in the TL.

"DISC" EJECT

Throw CD against the wall and take a bat to my computer... rinse and repeat.

fantom_tl, did you try dvd-rs?
For me when I used dvd+rs, my TL says "DISK FORMAT" and spits it out usually.
I've noticed it especially when i burn dvd+Rs with the Deep burner.
Tried with DVD-R----------> sony, memorex, TDK,
DVD+R----------> philips, maxwell, fujifilm
none of them worked.

Yount, I have used both DVD-R and DVD+R; both work equally well and perform the same from what I've experienced. Something must be wrong with your procedure.

I've used TDK DVD-R and Memorex DVD+R. I've only had one "bad burn", and that happened when I bumped my laptop while I was writing the .ISO to the DVD. Other than that, smooth as silk. It takes a lot of time, but works well if you're following instructions carefully.

thanks for your replay, Brettallica.
I don't know what to say anymore... I converted mp3 to wav with CDex, then used adobeman's script to make them 6 ch. , then used dvd solo to make .iso file.
burned it with nero, deep burner, at various burning speed(2X,4X,6X,8X,16X)
ALL FAILED to plzy in my TL...
I'm suspecting DVD solo to be the one causing it.
Is there anything else i should know about it except to leave it at default mode for pretty much everything???
I feel like crying now....
