So, are they sending you another one?

Are you absolutely sure that the plug is completely seated into the port?

Hello guys,

After reading all the forums in here, I made up my to buy this item for my 04 TL with navi and no XM/AUX/NAVTRAFFIC (Canadian). It took me an hour to instal from the start until I was satisfied and trying out a lot of my music from my iphone 5.

The verdict, I am very satisfied. I know that there might a lot of other options for my car but I think this one is the simplest option for what I want. The only thing that bugs me is playing the songs when I get in my car. I have to press play on phone to stream the music and after that I have no option to pause it unless I pause it back from my phone.

Is there a walk around to this? Or I this is what I get for my simple install?

Thanks guys. I really like this forum.
Cheers

The instructions say that pushing the AM/FM button will pause the music. RTFM

If you have an 07-08 with nav traffic the only unit that will works for Bluetooth streaming is the usa spec bt45 acu. Easy 5 minute install unless you want to run the mic up to the windshield. It plugs right into the Xmas tuner by the rt qtr. I got one in the Mail on wednsday and it works perfectly.
Tried Blitzsafe, Isimple, and dice. All did not work as advertised. The usa spec bt45 acu is the newest version and works as advertised.

Well, per post #122, it does work with Canadian non-XM TLs....

The TL that I have is '04 (Canadian). These are the only buttons I have
1. FM
2. AM
3. CD/DVD
4. Tape

I tried pushing AM and FM and Both Buttons at the same time and it did not work. All it did is select that source. Thanks though.

I will just put an iPad Mini use that as my media source rather than my iPhone. I still think it is still the best option considering price to functionality ratio.

all the best

Hey I was just wondering how this unit did with the HFL bluetooth. Does it pause the music when a call comes in? Also can you connect both the HFL and blitzsafe at the same time. I have the Isimple ISH651 and it's been a nightmare. Looking for something better currently.

It work perfectly. Before I installed the blitz safe, my bt was not working and I did the baking method to fix and it worked. So then I installed the blitz safe and they both work harmoniously together. If music is playing and I make or receive a call, the music will pause and play again after I hang up. Like I said before, the only inconvenience I have with the product is having to play the music physically in the phone when I get in the car, but that will soon be addressed once I put up an iPad mini because I will be using it with the "continuity" feature of the iOS. I'll post up a pic when I have time to mount my iPad.
Cheers.

After waiting for 3 weeks I called them again. They told me that they are Out of Stock of this thing because they are selling them so fast and did not have one to send me.

They also told that they are working on this new version where we will be able to make calls as well.

tl;dr: They do not know when it will be back in stock, am waiting indefinitely.

I just installed this tonight on my non nav 04 and the first thing I noticed was how long it takes to change between radio, CD, and CDC. I have to thit each button about 5 times before it changes to a different input. Does anyone else have this issue?

that means something is not right. you should be able to switch between inputs with no delay.

just went to best buy and had them price match walmart's price on the scosche magic mount $14.88

as far as the blitzsafe I will be buying this version from enfigcarstereo.com since it was the lowest price that i found and they're pretty close to my job and ther site states it will work with our cars. This version also has a 3.5mm adapter which I find useful and prefer just in case I need it.

From my understanding since I have an 05 non navi I should be able to change the songs via the steering wheel controls when connected to my android device through bluetooth with no problem right?

This unit (BlitzSafe HON/Bluetooth V.2X) is discontinued by BlitzSafe.

New modified ( added USB power Line out or in (?) is on it's way.

I paid for BlitzSafe HON/Bluetooth V.2X and waiting for a new one.

So I've installed this and it worked great for a while, no problems. Suddenly one day I start my car and there's no sound! FM radio still works, so I check the blitzsafe unit and found the problem; it detects something is plugged in because I can switch to it, but still no sound.

Instead of warrantying it I found on other sites that some people had units with some poor soldering: too little, too much, insufficient wetting, etc. Cracked it open and this is what I found.

Anyways just wanted to post this as it seems a few people had issues with blitzsafe in this thread.

Oh, and I also want to mention I also had the 5 second delay when switching to CDC

After 6 months of wait for a new model, got V.2X and got it installed by Blitzsafe authorized dealer. Worked great for a week and a half, not it is pausing for a fraction of a second constantly. It started today. First I blamed it on my phone holder wireless charger, than I disconnected and skipping continued.
Connected to a earpiece, no skipping. It is V2.X doing it.
Soldering problem as was found in a previous post?

Yup, finally got around to fixing it in a freezing garage, and it works again now. But still have the 5 second delay when switching to it, it might be because I have the AUX version which is older than the Bluetooth model.

My display is just blank now too, doesn't even show volume changes. But I can live with it as I rarely touch it anyways.

Sorry if this thread is too old. Just installed this afternoon, and it's working great so far. This was a huge help, I ended up just taking off the driver's side trim, and with a little determination and time, my fat fingers worked the plug loose and got the new one in. I also mounted the box on the right, above the steering wheel. There was a big plastic piece which I'm pretty sure is the air duct for the rear seat. I just put a loop of duct tape on the back and ran a self tapping screw in to hold it down. I just made sure it wouldn't be interfering with anything.

okay, feeling stupid now..and realizing that either I don't know yet another thing or that I just simply can't delete posts here.

For everyone that is also confused by how to remove the factory cable, there is a black tab on it slightly deeper along the plug than I expected. Push in on that hard and pull the plug gently at the same time to free the clip. Then, with a screwdriver, pry up from the bottom corner of the plug. The plug is smaller than it seemed to me, being as the connecter is black too. Find that seam.
