Question Factory Amp Replacement With Aftermarket Amp

I have a 2004 tl and have recently been having problems with the stereo. Every time I turn it on I hear a buzzing noise, and also the volume is barely loud at all when I have the volume turned all the way up. I went to the local acura dealership and they gave me a quote for a new amp. 800$ for the part and intsall. I thought that was ridiculous for an amp and I wanted to go aftermarket. Does anyone have any suggestions for the amp that is easy to install and doesn't cost too much?

Post a WTB in the Black Market. I picked up a used amp for $80 and it solved my buzzing issue. Install is very easy and takes a few minutes.

Not to thread jack but had anyone ever swapped in a different OEM amp? Just curious if say one from a 4G or an MDX or TSX etc would be a plug and play swap. I had a loaner 2012 TSX and the stereo was a good deal louder, I believe the 4G has another 100-200 watts or so too.

^ An OEM plug and play option would be great if it's an improvement over the stock amp.

You could always jump over the 4G guys and ask how their amps look like.

drawback is you still have a crappy amp feeding crappy drivers.
