Extending XM trial

I guess you could tell them, that you need more time to decided if you really want it.

I have a question about the XM, does anyone elses go out every once and a while? Not often, but sometimes when going under an overpass I lose the signal - I thought it was supposed to work everywhere.

I like it very much. I don't listen to FM too much anymore. I'm now too used to commercial-free music and static-free reception.
Or, if you just take a second and go over to their website, you'll find even better offers:
36 months $289 ($8.03/month)
48 months $369 ($7.69/month)
60 months $449 ($7.48/month)

Xm
XM is surely not CD or DVDA quality, but it is certainly better than ANY broadcast FM ANYWHERE. The broadcasters are screwing themselves out of listeners by over-processing the audio and too many commercials. I haven't listened to broadcast radio in months - and ONLY for AM traffic announcements (soon to come on XM).
XM provides plenty of variety with acceptable quality for casual listening.
It is great being able to drive cross-country and listen to the same station the whole way!

Amen to that. The variety of music on XM that you stand absolutely no chance of hearing on the crappy formats broadcast stations shove down your throats is worth the price of admission alone.
The only thing I use broadcast stations for at this point is the local talk radio guy I listen to (Jay Severin)

My only concern has to do with the minute chance that XM could go belly up in the next 5 years. Obviously, this is unlikely, but if you pay for 5 years of service, then they go out of business, you have to file with the bankruptcy court to try to get even a fraction of your money back. I've had to do that with an extended warranty company, and it's not pretty.
