I lost my driver 1 key fob and have been having to use the driver 2 key fob, it unlocks and locks the doors, pops the trunk and will set off the alarm no problem. But i can't seem to get it to pair with the memory settings. i tried holding down the lock and unlock and waiting for the lights to blink twice. but it was a no go.

I recently got a remote start installed CompuStar if that means anything to anyone. Could this be causing my issue? am i not going through the steps properly?

Are you trying to pair with memory 2 or memory 1? If it is key fob 2 it has to be paired with memory 2.

 

i can't pair it at all, i lost the driver 1 keyfob so im not trying to pair it with memory 1, i just want to pair it so i have memory 2 capabilities. do i need to re-link everything? because when i go into Memory Settings/Driver Settings in the little display on the dashboard it tells me you must link the driver 1 and driver 2 settings

 

Have you set the DPMS using the memory 2 button on the door?
If not, do that first: select your preferred audio settings, then set the seat and mirror positions and put them into memory with door button #2.
Then try linking the remote.

What bypass did they use for the compustar? That could be the reason why it goes to Mem 1 automatically...

 

im not sure, i had it installed professionally. So you are saying that maybe if i have the remote start uninstalled, and try to link up the mem2 remote, then re-hook up the remote start i shouldn't have any problems?
