Nothing revolutionary here but for the longest time, did not know a double-kit trim kit exist. Did some research on wiring and ended up with a cheap Atoto Android 7" bc all I really wanted was Android Auto and CarPlay. The unit has all the standard bells and whistle for phone integration and even has built-in steering wheel remote capabilities (no additional module needed, just a simple steering signal wire from oem harness). Wired the resistor to retain orm Navi, kept oem amp to use oem sub (sub out from heading), and wired all speakers (infinity reference comp front and 2-way in the back) to bypass oem amp. While i had the unit out, i replaced the bulbs with blue LEDs (most of mine were dead anyways).
Definitely worth the upgrade to modernize the TL and very DIY-able once you know which wires are needed. Let me know if I can be of assistance.
Sorry for the delayed reply. the navi bulbs are easily replaced with T3 neo wedge LEDs. i got blue ones from amazon (link below). I used white LEDs for the temp/auto bc i read that blue won't light up the red button nicely. I also replaced the button on the gauge cluster, heated seat and sunroof button, all the same. They simply twist in and out, but it takes some trial and error to get some of the polarity correct (simply rotate/swap the contacts). Let me know if you have any other questions that i can assist with.

Can you please put a diy for this? How much did it cost?
oh man, i wish i read this earlier bc i went back in yesterday to plug in my cigarette lighter wire that i forgot in the initial install. Below is quick break down of parts that I used specific to the double din.
extra wiring for amp bypass and whatever wiring connectors you want. I ended up doing just heat shrink for simple connection and t-tap when tapping is required
Super high-level steps, apologies for skipping on the details. you can search other DIY for steps or ping me for assistance.
1. OEM radio removal is standard steps.
Side trim pops out
2 screws inside armrest and 2 more to free and slide it back
pop of shifter trims, there are 2 pieces
Pop off center vents above radio, start at bottom corner and pry up.
remove all visible screw (4 silver holding the radio) and 2 holding tray below
The radio/dvd player section simply detaches once you remove the metal bracket. Install of headunit is simple as mounting the headunit to the plastic bracket (if your unit fits the oem bracket, you can simply reuse). I needed to dremel the inside of the opening on the dash kit to fit my unit cleanly. your mileage my vary as fitment and flush install varies between headunit.
2. The wiring is pretty straight forward, just follow harness/headunit instructions and fine the correct wires
Needed to splice the steering wheel remote signal into headunit for programing
Needed to bridge 2 OEM navi wire with a resistor to keep it working as oem
I decided to keep amp to power oem sub, so i wired the amp power on and use headunit sub out to splice into oem sub wires
I bypass the oem sub for front and rear speakers, so at the amp, i simply cut and connect the matching speakers wires that's going into the amp with the ones going out of the amp
Backup cam is wired through the trunk and tapped into reverse light power and ground. and then the long wire is routed up to the corresponding wire behind the headunit.
Other accessory wires such as USB, GPS, microphone, and Antenna simply plug into the correspond ports on the headunit and you can locate them wherever you want. I got lazy with the microphone, i routed the USB to be used with a flashdrive into glove compartment. USB for android auto/carplay is routed to the tray below headunit.
