Cobra XRS 9530 radar detector

My friends offering his Cobra for 50 for me, i know its a good deal, but is this a good radar detector brand? anyone have any personal experience with this?

might be ok i guess but i wouldnt depend on it. unless it was something like a Valentine 1 or passport x50

I have the 9950 w/ the GPS option in it, so it is nice to knowing where the red light cameras are. I like mine a lot :-)
