So I got into my car this morning (08 TL Type S) and all of the radio presets were gone XM, FM, sound. I have only used key memory 1 and never key 2 so that is not the issue. I did a search and could not find a definitive answer. Does anyone know what causes this? The car is new with only 250 miles and I don't think there is anything wrong with the battery as the car starts fine. If anyone knows what caused this to happen please let me know. Also my XM did not subcription did not expire yet and everything works fine now.

I know for a fact that when you remove the battery the presets remain on 2008..

When I was replacing my hids on 08TLS, I took the battery out for more room for over 30 mins, and once I've put it back, I entered the codes, and all the presets remained.

Maybe there is a master reset option on the navi that got activated? Something got reset from the inside...

I agree, when I disconnect my battery, I do need the radio code, but the pre-stes remain.

When my TL-S was new, I had a hard time getting the presets (FM & XM) to "stick" with each driver/key fob.

I'd set 'em (I thought) and then next time I used that Key Fob, they'd be gone.

I don't remember exactly what I did, but I tried to be very careful about setting, saving, matching to a given driver and finally got them to stick.

A look throught the Owners Manual and/or Radio/Navigation guide might also be in order.

 

When I went to drive my car a few minutes ago all of the presets were back as they were yesterday. It is like nothing ever happened. This is strange.

 

The same thing happened to me today. However, when I got in the car to come back home from where I was going, they were all back.

Anyone else have this issue?
