Closing windows with key fob

hi everyone. i was making a payment on the Acura financial services website and stumbled upon a link that described some of the features on the TL and read this part.

Keyless Access
The key case that doubles as the vehicle remote appears as a fairly simple device with a few buttons to lock, unlock the doors and unlatch the trunk. In fact, it is a sophisticated vehicle component that can open and close windows remotely or communicate and set your driver’s preferences before you even enter the car. Click on the video for a full explanation of the remote’s capabilities.
i've had my 06 TL for over 3 years now and never knew i could close my windows w/ the remote. so i click on the video but they don't even mention anything on that. i'm not the most tech savvy individual so if anyone can assist me on this i'd really appreciate it. i always wondered why i could open the windows but never close them on the key fob. thanks.

Our TLs won't do that without a Window Rollup module you can install in the driver's side door. The newer ones will but not our's.

My '08 won't close the windows and moonroof with the remote. It will close them with the key in the doorlock.

you put the key in the driver door hole, lock it, and then lock/ hold it.

The KP module is da shiznit. Here is the installation link:
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/kp-technologies-window-roll-up-module-install-3g-garage-i-097-a-596643/
One warning: the rubber grommet on the door is one of 4 screws you remove to take off the door panel. Do NOT over-tighten it when re-installing or you will strip it (If it wasn't stripped at the factory already).
Here is the link for the discount code:

Good luck!

I just installed mine in my WDP 07 TL type - S,(saturday) Took about 30 min, install time and a good hour really going over all the pages here on a-zine, read-em, read-em - again verify and print out the wire to wire chart and the pic where to do your work, button her back up, and say sure was simple! Works Great !!! thanks KP tech !!!

I think it's primarily for safety reasons that you can't close it remotely. While the driver's auto-up window can stop if there's something blocking it, the rest can't.
