Peripheral site says:Not currently compatible w/ 3.0 OS

So, I've had a few post on here lately asking about the best set up to get the most capatability out of my new iphone 3Gs. My conclusion (from great advice on this forum) is to use the peripheral unit for the best possible song display and control. Then Dom's unit with an iphone composite cable (video to Doms unit; audio to the aux rca inputs on the peripheral unit). My only problem is that this gives you two seperate plugs for your iphone. However, "funcman" told me about a harness that combines to ipod plugs into one ( http://www.chargeconverter.com/shop/connext.htm ). Not sure if it's worth another 90 bucks to have one plug, but sounds nice.
I guess I wrote all that to see if I get any feedback about my proposed setup, but this post is really about what I just read from the peripheral website when looking at the Isimple PXAMG:

"Not currently compatible with Apple iPhone & Touch models running 3.0 Operating System (OS)"

That puts a big hitch in my plans. Anyone know why? Currently having troubles with your 3Gs and the isimple? Know if there is a firmware update coming? Should I wait on the intall to see if something new is coming from Peripheral?

Running iphone 3GS with new 5v cable and .36e firmware with my 05 Acura TL with navi for about 2 weeks now and no problems besides slight lag on artist name change.

DOn't know about that other paragraph with the video, i didn't do that to my car so i can't help there.

Works for me too. The only difference is the (non-functioning) volume slider bar is no longer there when plugged in.
