Bluetooth Diagnostics????

Let me ask any of the experts on this site, I just had my bluetooth module replaced under warranty, the service writer said they ran some diagnostics and it was faulty, do they really have the ability to run diagnostics on bluetooth or are they just replacing in case??

The dealer will typically use the HDS diagnostic system -- it just reads trouble codes.

The HandsFreeLink system also includes a self-diagnosis capability.

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC (I) position.
2. Press and hold the HFL BACK button for more than 5 seconds.

The multi-information display shows "DIAGNOSTIC MODE" and the control unit audibly outputs the diagnostic status.

Press the HFL BACK button to exit the self-diagnostic mode.
